Sinquefields to underwrite St. Louis Symphony as host of League of American Orchestras Conference
Dr. Jeanne and Rex Sinquefield have donated $250,000 to underwrite the St. Louis Symphony’s hosting of the League of American Orchestras 68th conference, Imagining 2023, which will be held June 18 through June 20 in St. Louis.
The Sinquefields are longtime supporters of the St. Louis Symphony. This the first time since 1966 that St. Louis has hosted the League of American Orchestras Conference, and it is expected to bring hundreds of orchestra administrators, volunteers and musicians from across the country for three days of concerts, meetings and symposiums.
The gift in support of the conference was covered locally in a story by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch‘s classical music critic Sarah Bryan Miller, as well as in the St. Louis Business Journal‘s BizTalk column by Matthew Hibbard. The League of American Orchestras also noted the gift in their online publication The Hub (available to League members only).
